Banijay

Uniting Two Global Powerhouses with ONE

When Banijay acquired Endemol Shine, the two companies faced a unique challenge: how to merge two of the world’s largest distribution catalogues, workflows, and teams into a single digital presence without disrupting ongoing buyer relationships or day-to-day sales activity.

Both companies were already using ONE, but in different ways. Banijay’s platform was powered by EasyTrack XML data and Wistia for video, while Endemol Shine used JSON feeds and Brightcove. On top of that, thousands of buyers, companies, lists, and permissions needed to be migrated into one unified system. The scale of the project was huge, and the timeline was tight: Banijay Rights needed a single, working platform for the next MIP market.

The Challenge

Two separate ONE instances running in parallel, with different integrations and feature sets.

Two video providers (Wistia and Brightcove) that had to be maintained during migration.

Two legacy systems with overlapping but inconsistent data feeds (XML vs JSON).

Thousands of buyer records and existing relationships that couldn’t be disrupted.

A hard deadline to launch the new Banijay Rights platform in time for upcoming sales activity.

The Solution

ONE worked with Banijay to design and deliver a single unified site and app that brought together the best of both businesses.

Dual data integration - ONE was adapted to support both EasyTrack XML feeds and JSON APIs, ensuring continuity during the transition.

Dual video support - Brightcove and Wistia could run in parallel, so teams didn’t have to re-ingest thousands of assets at once.

User and company migration - buyers, sales teams, and their saved lists were migrated and reconciled into a single database without breaking permissions or losing history.

New brand identity - the platform was redesigned to reflect Banijay Rights’ updated global brand, giving buyers a consistent, premium experience.

Phased approach - Phase 1 delivered a working site on deadline, Phase 2 continued deeper data consolidation and new functionality.

The Impact

One platform for buyers - instead of navigating two separate systems, buyers now had a single, polished hub to explore Banijay Rights’ full catalogue.

One tool for teams - sales and operations staff no longer wasted time duplicating work across platforms.

Protected relationships - buyers kept their access, permissions, and saved lists intact, avoiding disruption during the merger.

Future-ready - with the foundations in place, Banijay Rights could scale, integrate more deeply, and expand functionality as their business evolved.
