ROLE

The Project Manager is required to manage onboarding of new clients to the ONE platform from Sales handover to go live.

 

Your key focus will be to 

  • guide clients through a structured onboarding process, including creating Delivery Schedules, completing Platform Configuration Guides, and RAID/RAG logs where required, ensuring they are clear on timings and deadlines whilst making sure the internal delivery team have everything they need.

  • Deliver projects in line with the functionality of the ONE platform

  • Highlight feature requests that sit outside of the ONE platform, re-direct to Account Manager/Director and be able to explain to client


The ideal person will be familiar with working in sprints and have experience working directly with both clients and internal teams.

The Project Manager will support the Client Services team, who also look after support issues, roadmap product development and Account Management, by planning projects to integrate into sprints alongside these requirements.

Some knowledge and understanding of both product development and bespoke projects will also be advantageous.

RELATIONSHIPS

Reporting to the Product Owner and Director, collaborating with the development teams on projects and delivery.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Brief the project team and clearly communicate the project's short and long-term objectives

  • Closely monitor day-to-day activities of the project team

  • Plan and run all internal reviews and status updates

  • Manage resource assignments for projects, proactively identify resource challenges and provide a solution

  • Partner with project team members to present work to clients, as well as confidently presenting alone

  • Liaise with and manage external resource and third parties

  • Carry out project admin accurately in a timely and organised manner

  • Deal with feedback/conflicts from the project team 

  • Maintain high levels of communication with the project team at all times, ensuring to motivate team members where required

  • Understand client objectives, project goals and articulate them clearly in detail

  • Develop and manage project plans, working with the project team to execute

  • Monitor project risks and scope, to identify solutions/actions in advance of issues

  • Identify needs that clients may not recognise. Ensure delivery and the development approach are linked to short and long-term objectives

  • Manage client expectations, act on client feedback and ensure delivery

  • Maintain strong client relationships with a positive attitude

  • Communicate and document project status to client, team and management on a regular basis, resolve issues in a timely manner

  • Confidently run client meetings

  • Deliver projects on time and on budget

  • Proactively identify opportunities to help clients fulfill their objectives and demonstrate additional value of our service

  • Organise and ensure delivery of ongoing support items

  • Keep projects in line with the functionality of the ONE platform and understand how to deal with requirements outside of this scope

  • Provide ongoing value to ONE clients post-build, to ensure a strong relationship is built

  • Fully test platform and report on bugs before handing over to the client

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Approachable - for both clients and internal team members. ONE is a fast moving environment that requires constant communication to keep everyone up to date with the latest status

  • Ability to handle pressure - the Project Manager needs to be a source of reason for clients and internal team members to turn to in a high pressured and fast paced environment

  • Prioritise - need to be able to review requests and issues from all angles and help determine priorities

  • Explain - provide reasoning behind all decisions

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years project management experience

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

  • Experience of various Project Management methodologies including Waterfall and Agile

  • Experience in responsive design, web and mobile applications, content management systems and third party integrations

  • Experience working with bespoke software solutions

 

 DESIRABLE

  • Experience of product development and the difference from bespoke projects

  • Knowledge of Jira and Trello
